In today's sedentary age, movement in leisure time is very important. WCS offers a very natural form of exercise - walking - which is also enriched with a fun, social part.

If you're wondering if you can do it, know that the classes are designed from the very beginning and don't expect any prior dance knowledge. If you can walk, hold someone's hand and smile occasionally, there is a high probability that you can learn to dance with us.

Free first lesson
We offer the first lesson free of charge for newcomers, so that even the more hesitant ones have a chance to get acquainted with WCS before deciding whether to attend a regular course.

Even for individuals
If you don't know who to register with, don't despair. There is no need to register as a couple, you can come as an individual.

The course is for everyone regardless of age and previous dance experience, or for those who are unsure of the six basic patterns and whip.
The course will teach the basic patterns of West Coast Swing and principles of leading or following which are important for couple cooperation and improvisation.
During the classes there is a rotation of partners.
WCS is danced in heelless shoes and the women usually wear pants rather than a skirt.

The course is for those who have already attended beginner classes at least once or the other West Coast Swing II course and know without any problem basic six-count patterns and the whip.
You will learn lots of new patterns, their variations and needed technique, of course. You will be able to dance with any partner of any level.

West coast swing III + IV - spring 2025

You should have completed both courses IIa and IIb. To cover these things, you should have no problem with overrotation, rock-and-go and using them in any basic patterns. At the party, you think more about how you would spice up the dance than about which pattern you remember.
We will further deepen our knowledge of more advanced variations, working with the frame and different styles of music.

The course is for those who have attended West coast swing III and West coast swing IV courses. If the course is listed as III + IV, then it should be taken twice, once for each level. In addition, signing should be consulted with the teachers. Students should have no problem executing the patterns. They should strive for elasticity and musicality in their dance. At this level you should be able to dance well with dancers of any level.
We will further expand stockpile of patterns during the classes. However, the aim of the course is to master the technique so the emphasis is on execution and the ability to work with building-blocks rather than whole patterns.

We offer the following discounts on all courses unless otherwise stated for a specific course.
Discounts add up and can even go negative if you have a lot of dancing friends.

Rules for course registration
The price of the course is based on the date of registration for the course according to the table with the deadline dates, if they are listed for the course. Therefore, please sign up even if you want to try WCS in the first class. This will allow you to get a discount and we will know how many people to expect.
The first free lesson is valid for new members.
The payment will be in cash either at the end of the first lesson or at the beginning of the second lesson if you decide to come. Otherwise, please let us know.
After registering, you should receive an email recapping your application form. We will send another email with further information about a week before the first lesson.
Private lessons
In case of interest we provide individual lessons. You can make an appointment directly with the teacher you are interested in, or send us a message on our Facebook page or via email.
Please do not request private lessons from us earlier than one week from the time you start to arrange them, and please also expect a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed price (rounded up to the nearest tens of CZK) in case of cancellation of an individual lesson later than 48 hours in advance.
Private lessons are not a substitute for regular classes!
Vouchers
Do you want to surprise someone with a dancing experience? Use our vouchers.
You can choose either a voucher for (almost) any amount from 400 CZK, which can be used for any of the services we provide. Or, in case you do not want the voucher to include a price, you can choose a voucher for a private lesson with one of our teachers. Individually, however, we can also agree on other conditions. We do not offer refunds on vouchers.
